N.E. Engineering’s Mesh Belt WIP Storage Conveyors provide intermediate storage for products produced by the corrugator that have not yet been consumed by converting equipment. The system creates organized WIP capacity while keeping material readily accessible to the production process.
Conveyor sections are sized around the weight, height, and storage requirements of the product, while the overall layout can be designed to position WIP storage close to converting equipment. This helps reduce transfer car travel distances and can minimize the risk of converting machines being starved for material.
WIP storage can be configured as a single-level system or a two-level system, with optional vertical lifts providing automated movement of units between elevations. This allows the system to take advantage of available vertical space while increasing storage capacity without requiring the same amount of additional floor space.
